Here we go, it’s the first week of the Fringe! Technically, the calendar switched over from “this should be a preview” to “this is a full show” on Friday, so we’ve had three days – and the first weekend- taking place. While there are previews to help build up notoriety and ticket sales for the first week, now is the time for artists, venues, and PR teams to get to work on the business ide of things.

Meanwhile, on the artistic side…

Em Stroud has popped into the Fringe Show studio today to talk about her show Navigating Life, a look at “what happens when we stop trying to control everything and simply ‘be’.”

Em has many hats to wear, from comic and clown, through motivational speaking, to coaching and writing. All of those are in play at this year’s Fringe, including a few more that you’ll discover along the way.  Listen in as Em and I talk about her KPI metrics of Fringe 2026, finding the money to perform in Edinburgh, and the all-encompassing challenge of deciding on the colour of crisps.
